Documentation
Definition
Groups all payroll areas for which payroll is run together in concurrent employment.
Use
In a payroll area group, you can only group payroll areas that meet the following conditions:
- either all payroll areas must be relevant for payroll, or none of them
- all payroll areas must be assigned to the same country grouping
- all payroll areas must be assigned to the same payroll time unit
- all payroll areas must have the same payment date
- the payroll control records must be identically maintained for all payroll areas
Meaning that the payroll areas must be almost identical; only the start date of the payroll period may differ.
- the payroll areas may not be assigned to any other payroll area group
- all payroll areas must be activated for MPSD
When adding an additional payroll area to a payroll area group, no person ID with a payroll result in the new payroll area may already have a payroll result in the payroll area group.
A payroll area can only be deleted from the payroll area group if it does not contain any payroll results that were generated after the date on which concurrent employment was activated.
Dependencies
Payroll area groups are only available for the MPSD (multiple period start days) function.
The MPSD function itself can only be implemented within concurrent employment.
