Select this radio button if you would like to produce Magnetic Media files for submission to tax authorities. To do so, you must specify the TemSe (temporary sequential) file to be used by the Magnetic Media Filing utility to produce Magnetic Media submissions. To this end, select the Browse Temses function button.
On the subsequent screen, you will access the Year End Reporting History Log, which contains a detailed overview of all "live" Year End Reporting runs executed within your system. For each successful run executed, the History Log lists the run number, tax year, form, run type, TemSe file name, spool number, and Tax Reporting Unit. Simplified examples of two History Log entries are shown below.

At an earlier date, upon selecting this radio button, then Browse TemSes, the payroll administrator selected the first entry to produce Magnetic Media submissions of 1999 Relevé 1 forms for employees in Tax Reporting Unit C9902. Now, upon generating a TemSe file that contains accurate Relevé 2 data, the payroll administrator can select the second entry to produce Magnetic Media submissions for 1999 Relevé 2 forms for all applicable employees in that Tax Reporting Unit.
