Documentation
Definition
This field contains the percentage of the accrual base (that is, the amount contained in wage type /1VE) that will be paid out at the end of every pay period.
For example, if this field contains an entry of 1.500 (corresponding to 1.5% of vacationable earnings) and if the accrual base for the current pay period is equal to $1,000, then $15 in vacation pay will be paid out at the end of the current period. Moreover, at the end of every subsequent period, the system will continue to pay out 1.5% of vacationable earnings to all employees within the current employee grouping.
If a difference exists between the percentage indicated in this field and the percentage required by law or company policy, then that difference will continue to accrue in the vacation balance required by law or company policy.
For example, if both company policy and the law require that 4% of vacationable earnings be paid as vacation pay, then $25 will accrue for that employee as outstanding vacation pay, both in the balance of vacation pay required by law and in the balance of vacation pay required by company policy.
