Documentation
Magnetic media files are submitted to tax authorities on physical storage devices, such as diskettes. Since only one file is permitted per storage device, the maximum storage capacity of any individual storage device dictates the maximum allowable size of any individual file.
Consequently, this parameter determines the maximum allowable size, measured in megabytes, for any individual file containing magnetic media submissions.
Enter the size of your storage device, in megabytes, in this field.
Example
You intend to submit your magnetic media returns on 1.44Mb diskettes. You thus keep the default setting of 1.44 Mb to generate magnetic media files. In response, the system will bundle your return slips into files of the appropriate size (e.g., 1.3Mb < file size < 1.44Mb).
