Definition

This field stores the status of each Message ID after each step of the Incoming process. Each message ID can have one of the following statuses:

  • ER    Error reading Message ID
  • EP    Error parsing Message ID
  • EC    Error storing XML from Message ID to PCL4 cluster
  • ED    Error deleting Messaged ID from Secure Mailbox
  • SC    Successfully retrieved and stored Message ID

Use

Message IDs identify the XML file that is retrieved from the Government Gateway (GG) for the Incoming process. Each Message ID is retrieved and stored in the PCL4 cluster. However, during the process of retrieval, storage, data extraction and deletion, it could be possible that errors occur. These errors are stored in this field.

In some special circumstances, it might be possible that the Message ID has a status that needs to be changed manually. The following list shows the allowable statuses for each Message ID that you can manually set:

  1. ER

Message ID can be deleted from the table without consequences.

  2. EP

Message ID can be deleted. However, you must ensure that the contents of the Message ID has been re-populated in your Secure Mailbox.

  3. EC

Message ID can be deleted. The nex t Poll will retrieve the Message ID again and will attempt to store it in the PCL4 cluster. If you encounter cluster storage problems, you must correct these before deleting entries with this status.

  4. ED

Message ID can be manually deleted from the table once the Message ID has been deleted from your Secure Mailbox.

Note: Message IDs that cannot be retreived from your Secure Mailbox on the GG must be manually deleted. However, this can only be performed by the Live Services Team (LST) who offer users of the GG technical support.

Refer to your GG documentation to find out how to raise a problem message with the LST.

  5. SC

Do not delete Message ID manually. Your R/3 system will automatically delete these Message IDs from the G Gateway and when successful, will also delete them from the Message ID table.
