Definition

In this field, you can specify whether the current cession is for costs for meals. At the same time, you can specify the legal basis for the costs for meals.

Use

The garnishment calculation function enables you to manage costs for meals. Since some garnishment rules (such as garnishment exemption limits) do not apply to costs for meals, you have to identify the cession representing costs for meals, here. To do so, choose the relevant value using the input help:

  • If the cession does not concern costs for meals, leave the field empty.
  • For costs for meals that must be paid due to a country's social welfare law or due to the Federal Act for Long-Term Care Allowance, choose Subrogation.
  • For costs for meals that are paid due to authorization given by the person in need of care, choose Authorization for Costs for Meals.

Dependencies

The indicator for costs for meals may be selected for one cession only.

For the cession that is identified as costs for meals, you can enter the claim amount as a percentage of payments. The garnishment exemption limits for costs for meals must be entered as garnishment-specific special conditions in the Spec. Garn. Cond. A (0135) infotype.

Example

You create a cession. The basis is a court title due to a social welfare law of a state. Using the input help, choose the entry Subrogation.
