If you assign the 'Public Holiday' characteristic to the absence symbol, this symbol can be used as a public holiday symbol in the view 'V_T5A4D' (Time-Dependent Entitlement Quotas). If you assign a symbol with the 'Public Holiday' characteristic in the personal calendar for Austria, this results in entitlement to public holiday pay instead of sickness benefit.
