Documentation
Definition
Payroll periods for which payroll results are created for a specific period.
Use
In payroll accounting a difference is made between the following types of periods:
- Periods in which payroll results are created (in periods)
- Periods for which payroll results are created (for periods)
Individual amounts may change within a payroll period on account of retroactive accounting. Therefore, payroll results which you create in different payroll periods for a specific period, may differ.
Example
Period for which payroll is to be run: 04/1998
Date of payroll run: 30.04.1998
In the period 05/1198 a retroactive payroll run is conducted for the period 04/1998. This involves changes to some individual amounts. The payroll result that is created in the in period 05/1998 for the for period 04/1198 is different from the payroll result that was created in the in period 04/1998 for the for period 04/1998.
