Definition

This field contains the number of calender days to be deducted from the absence calender days before the absence is considered to calculate a possible loss of entitlement.

This information is important for SS absences, that are divided by the payroll function BRNAB (based on table T7BR0A) in the part paid by the employee and tha part paid by SS.

Example:

Employee A has an SS sickness of 190 days. According to the customizing of the user's system, the employee loses his leave entitlement after 180 SS absence days within an acquisition period.

To enter the absence, a corresponding record has to be created in infotype Absences (2001). The payroll will split this absence into two parts:

  1. from the 1st until the 15th day of absence: paid by the employee
  2. from the 16th day until the end of absence: paid by the SS

To calculate the leave entitlement, should only be considered the part paid by the SS. In order to make this possible before losing the leave entitlement, enter 15 in this field for absence 'sickness SS' and the number of calender days will be reduced from 190 to 175. As it is less than 180, the employee keeps his leave entitlement.
