Definition

The housing family size contains the number of family members joining an employee on an expatriate assignment/relocation and are relevant for housing.

This number will be used for any calculation of housing related cost or housing handling.

For instance:

• Housing allowance
• Housing offset
• Allowed size of house

Example

If both significant others work for the same company and are assigned both to the same location there might be no extra housing allowance for the second.

If the employee may have dependents which are not regular seen as dependents but the company accepts them for housing allowance.
