Definition
The number of days on which the employee makes the journey between their home and place of work is taken from the official form. The employee has to submit this form to the employer if the employee wants to take advantage of the commuter rate.
Use
As of January 1, 2013, part-time employees are also entitled to the commuter rate and commuter euro if they make the journey at least four times each calendar month.
The amount of the commuter rate depends on how often the journey is made:
- On less than 4 days: no commuter rate/euro
- On 4-7 days: 1/3 commuter rate/euro
- On 8-10 days: 2/3 commuter rate/euro
- On more than 11 days: 3/3 commuter rate/euro
