Definition
This field can contain a three-character alphanumeric code that specifies the purpose of the bank collection, such as INV for an invoice or INS for an installment payment. This code provides information for the party debited or credited as the result of the bank collection, and the code must be arranged with this party beforehand. The code is optional. It is entered in field 26T (transaction type code) of the payment medium format MT104 (S.W.I.F.T. MT 104).
