Definition
Several off-cycle reasons can be grouped together in categories. A category corresponds to a technical basis that controls the payroll run. Two reasons with different texts (user interface) that refer to the same category are processed in the same way during the calculation.
Examples
A bonus in April and a bonus in September should be processed in the same way during payroll. They are grouped together in the same category. The user chooses the most appropriate off-cycle reason.
