Definition

In this field, you define how the business partner's password for the Internet user is determined and how the user is informed of their access data in the Internet application Change Access Data. The following settings are possible:

• Password cannot be changed: If this setting is chosen, the Internet application is not used to change or assign a password (but simply to change the user name and/or alias). The password remains unchanged.
• BP chooses password: If this is the setting, the Password field is a required field. The customer knows their password, so there is no need to send it and it can be displayed on the confirmation screen if required.
• System generates password/access data is displayed: The system generates a password for the business partner's Internet user. It is then displayed on the confirmation screen.
• System generates password/access data is sent: The system generates a password for the business partner's Internet user and it is sent to the business partner via e-mail.
