Definition

Propagation makes it possible to make repository objects that are visible in a package and are from the pakcage interface of a subpackage also visible in interfaces of superpackages. Using the propagation function, therefore, you can extend the visibility of a repository object across several levels in a package hierarchy to a higher level. The number of these kinds of hierarchy levels by which visibility is extended is referred to as propagation level.

Use

Dependencies

Example

Propagation level 0 means that the repository object is exposed directly in the package interface. Accordingly, propagation level 3 means that the visibility of the object through propagation of entire package interfaces was extended to a higher level by 3 levels in the pakcage hierarchy.
