Definition

This field gives the average number of kilobytes that were flushed from the physical log buffer to the physical log on disk. Its value is an indicator as to how well the physical log memory buffers are tuned. In general, if this value is over 75 percent of the size of the physical log buffer (or 100 percent using buffered logging), you can probably improve performance by making the physical log buffer size larger.

NOTE: Any adjustments to this parameter can effect the data buffered write percentages. This is due to modified data being held in the cache for shorter or longer periods of time, restricting or permitting multiple updates to the same data before it is written to disk.
