Definition
Controls the additional document split in posting documents.
Use
If problems occur (for example, termination of processing) because of the size of the documents whilst posting documents are being posted to Accounting, you can limit the number of document line items to a maximum value. When this maximum value has been reached, the system executes a document split and distributes the posting data to several smaller documents.
Only use this method if you cannot solve the problems that arise during posting to Accounting by adjusting system settings in the accounting system. As a rule, even posting documents with several thousand documents should be able to be posted without any problems. Therefore, if you want to assign a maximum value for the number of line items, it is advised that this value should consist of five-digits.
If you do not make an entry in this field, the system does not execute any additional document split. This is the standard setting.
Note
If you enter a maximum value for the number of line items, this value can be exceeded slightly when posting documents are created. This is because the system inserts additional document split lines in the posting documents during a document split.
