Determining the distribution of liabilities for posting.
Use
By activating the cost distribution, you can determine how the liabilities are to be handled within posting. The following specifications are thereby possible:
- 0: No distribution of the liabilities:
Posting occurs according to the "old" posting logic. - Only the expense items contain derived account assignment information such as Profit Center or Segment.
- There is NO expense-related account assignment or distribution of the liabilities.
- There is NO zero balance setting per account assignment in HCM.
- 1: Posting the liabilities according to the infotype Organizational Assignment (0001):
- The expense items contain derived account assignment information such as Profit Center or Segment from all infotypes.
- The liability items are assigned to an account according to the master cost center from infotype 0001 (corresponds to table WPBP in the payroll result).
- There is a zero balance setting based on the settings under Define Document Splitting Characteristics
- 2: Expense-related distribution of liabilities:
- In addition to setting 1, there is an expense-related distribution of liabilities with account assignment objects from all infotypes.
- With the function XCODI, that is, expense-related distribution of liabilities according to the logic of RPCIPE00
- With the function XLIDI, that is, the wage types are distributed according to their distribution basis in table T52LIDIBASE.
A prerequisite for the use of this specification is that you change the account assignment type for postings to the balance sheet accounts to FC (see Adjust Account Assignment Types for Symbolic Accounts) - There is a zero balance setting based on the settings under Define Document Splitting Characteristics
- 3: Expense-related distribution of liabilities taking into account the inflow principle:
In addition to setting 2, for liabilities that are subject to the inflow principle, liability inflows are moved to the respective outflow periods and thus a change occurs to their creation periods. In other words, a posting-relevant correction of the calculated liabilities occurs in the outflow period and in the inflow period: - In the inflow period, the liability inflow is invoiced negatively.
- In the outflow period, the same amount is invoiced positively.
