Documentation
Definition
Specify the date on which the employee purchased the Stock Options granted to the employee.
You can change the Exercise Date for stocks purchased by the employee even if there is an entry in the Accounted Year field. The following conditions, however, apply:
- The new Exercise Date falls within the Accounted Year.
- The End Date for the Holding Period of the stocks remains within the Accounted Year, even after you change the Exercise Date.
For example, the Exercise Date is 1st January 2002, Holding Period is eight months, and the Accounted Year is 2002.
- If you change the Exercise Date to 1st February 2002, the Holding Period will end within 2002. The system will accept this change in date.
- If you change the Exercise Date to 1st July 2002, the Holding Period will end only in 2003. As the end of the holding period is not within the Accounted Year, the system will not accept the change in date. In this case the system will display an error message.
