Definition

This is a fixed percentage of the employee's salary that is voluntarily contributed to the CPF.

The normal rate for CPF contributions will be ignored even if the rate specified for the voluntary contribution is lower than the normal rate.

The rate for voluntary contributions applies to ordinary wages as well as to additional wages.

Example

The employer's contribution is 30%. The amount the employer can recover from the employee is 14%.
