Definition
This field indicates the PBS company in the SAP system.
Explanation
In all SAP environments (i.e. SAP system and client combinations) the connection between PBS companies defined in the SAP system and PBS companies defined in the PBS system are required to be one-to-one; this is a necessary requirement to be sure that when sending and receiving data to and from PBS, respectively, the translation of PBS companies between the SAP system and the PBS system is well-defined. However, in an environment which is not defined as productive it is allowed to disobey this requirement.
Via the Transport Management System (TMS) the system manager can set up transport domains which facilitates systems to read off system configuration for systems within the same domain. This includes being able to read table T000, hence to check whether an environment is productive in the sense of T000. From release 4.0, TMS must be used to configure transports, in previous releases it is optional.
Assume the user tries to define in table T5M5R that in system "SYS" more than one PBS company within the SAP system should be translated to the same PBS company at PBS. If the system from which T5M5B is maintained is configured via TMS to be in the same transport domain as system SYS and if system SYS contains at least one productive client, then the table dialog will react with an error to the described scenario. In all other cases a warning is issued.
