The NHS contract type indicates the contractual arrangement that an individual academic with clinical responsibilities associated with this contract has with the HEI and the NHS employing body.
The majority of clinical academics have substantive paid higher education contracts and honorary unpaid contracts.
In each case the contracts together constitute employment in a single job agreed by 2 employers.
