Definition

There are two types of registration card, distinguished by colour. They are as follows:

• Blue card - Full rate liability

  This indicates that both primary and secondary contributions are payable for the employee concerned.

• Red card - Exempt rate liability

  This indicates that only secondary contributions are payable for the employee concerned.
