Definition

Date that the employee intends to start the Paternity Pay Period (PPP) or the Adoption Pay Period (APP). This is the date from which the employer can expect to be liable to pay Statutory Paternity Pay or Statutory Adoption Pay. The PPP or APP can start on any day of the week.

Use

Enter in this field the date that the employee intends to start the PPP or APP.

Dependencies

  • For Statutory Paternity Pay (birth), this date cannot be before the date that the child is due to be born or actually born. The PPP also cannot begin more than 49 days after the expected or actual date of birth of the child, whichever is the later date.
  • For Statutory Paternity Pay (adoption), this date cannot be before the date the child is expected to be placed or actully placed, and cannot be more then 49 days after the actual date the child was placed.
  • For Statutory Adoption Pay, this date cannot be more than 14 days before the date the child is expected to be placed, and cannot be after the actual placement date of the child.
