Definition
This date is the earliest start date for the Adoption Pay Period (APP). The start date of the APP depends on when the employee stops work.
The earliest date that an employee can begin the Adoption Pay Period is 14 days before the date the child is expected to be placed. However, the employee can work up until the placement date of the child, if so desired.
The system therefore calculates the Adoption Pay Period to start at the earliest 14 days before the expected date of placement of the child.

Dependencies
You should enter, when appropriate, the date when the employee actually begins the Adoption Pay Period in the Actual start of APP field.
