Definition
As from April 6th, 2004, different legislative guidelines apply for the test for length of service for cases where the employee adopts a child from overseas. In this situation, the 26 week length of service requirement applies to the date the adoption leave commences (rather than the end of the Matching Week when a child from within the UK is adopted). This checkbox indicates that the child has been adopted from overseas.
