Definition
The revaluation modifiers (revaluation factors and revaluation number) are used to update salaries (for example, to offset inflation) when pensions are calculated.
These values are published annually and are valid for the calculations for the entire year.
Which values are used in the calculation depends on when the civil servant starts working in the public sector:
- Revaluation factors: for civil servants who entered the public sector before December 31, 1999.
- Revaluation number: for civil servants who entered the public sector after January 1, 2000.
