Documentation
Definition
The total claim across all periods contains the sum of the priciple claim, the current claim, and costs and interest that have accrued for the garnishment up to the selected payroll period. Employer costs are not included in the total claim.
If the garnishment has not yet been honored up until the payroll period, the total claim includes the sum from the principle, the interest-bearing costs, and non-interest bearing costs. Neither a current claim nor interest incurred are taken into account.
