Documentation
Definition
The main contract for family-related bonuses (Main Contract FAK) is the contract for which the system is to calculate family-related bonuses. The contract number corresponds to the personnel number.
The CE payroll driver (report RPCALCC0_CE) always calculates family-related bonuses based on the master data for a contract. This ensures that a person is not paid bonuses twice as a result of multiple personnel assignments.
A person has just one main contract for FAK at any given time.
Use
The administrator or department in question is responsible for determining which main contract is to be used in calculating family-related bonuses: You specify the main contract number in HR master data maintenance for social insurance data.
Dependencies
This field is evaluated by the CE payroll driver only (report RPCALCC0_CE). The field is ignored in basic payroll (report RPCALCC0) and multiple payroll (report RPCALCCM).
The CE enhancement for master data maintenance must be activated to make the field available in master data maintenance.
Unlike with bonuses, the main contract for FAK selected does not have any impact on the FAK contributions deducted. When calculating contributions, the system considers all contracts in accordance with the applicable FAK base and FAK rule.
Example
An employee has two concurrent contracts with places of work in the cantons of Zurich (ZH) and Aargau (AG). The payroll units for FAK are set up in such a way that both contracts are assigned the cantonal rule for ZH and AG for the calculation of bonuses.
If the family-related bonuses are to be calculated according to the cantonal rule for canton AG, select the personnel number of the contract with canton AG as the place of work as the main contract for FAK.
If the contract in canton AG is later terminated, and the bonuses are subsequently to be calculated as per the remaining contract in accordance with the rule for canton ZH, as of the first day of the following month, select the personnel number of the remaining contract as the main contract for FAK.
If there is just one active contract for the person in the payroll period as in the example above, you can also leave the field empty: In this case, the system treats the only contract that exists as the main contract for FAK.
However, as soon as there are two concurrent contracts in the payroll period, and the main contract for FAK is not specified in the master data, the payroll run terminates with an error.
