Definition

Function number for evaluating the statistics.
A function number describes the activity of an employee within the company. It can be upto 8 characters long.

Use

The assigned function number is determined for each employee for the salary comparison.

You have the following options for assigning a function number to an employee:

• Using the position in the Organizational Assignment (0001) infotype or
• Using the Addit. Organizational Assignment CH (0039) infotype.

A potential entry in the 0039 infotype overrides the assignment to a function number using the position.

Dependencies

Which field of the 0039 infotype is used, depends on the industry code and can be determined in the Customizing settings for Payroll Switzerland under Salary Comparisons-> Maintain Industry Code.
