Select this field during AHV payroll for the year 2008 to activate a temporary solution for correctly displaying the UI-exempt wage according to the current version of the guidelines for wage data processing.
Background:
On 01/01/2004 the UI addition was deferred for an unspecified period of time. SAP represents this by providing the contribution rates as 0%. The UI addition limit was left at the old status so that technically a UI additional wage was formed in the payroll account and is taken into account in the list for the UI-exempt wage.
From a business point of view however, if the UI additional insurance was deferred as of the 01/01/2004, no UI additional wage exists (ALVZ wage = 0), which means that the UI-exempt amount of the list does not correspond to the guideline definitions: UI-exempt amount = "(AHV basis minus UI wage minus possible ALVZ wage)"
With the renewed certification according to the guidelines for wage data processing, the UI addition limit is provided with 0 CHF for the year change 2008/2009 so that the exempt wage on statements for 2009 will be correct with the current implementation. For the transfer phase, by activating the indicator for years as of 2004 you can receive a correct list, despite the incorrectly available UI additional wage. You must not set this indicator for years before 2004, or if the UI addition is reimplemented. You must set this indicator for the 2008 payroll and for payroll in 2009 and later you can leave this indicator as initial.
