Definition

This data element contains a value that identifies the employee's activity. This can be any activity that the employee actually performs, regardless of the business area, industry, or the employee's profession and professional position. Only the main job is represented.

The following values are possible:

Production-Related Activities:

  • 10 = Manufacturing, processing, modifying, assembling semifinished and finished products, horticulture and forestry activities
  • 11 = Activities in the construction industry
  • 12 = Servicing, repairing, cleaning, maintaining, controlling, operating, and setting up machinery and technical equipment
  • 13 = Restoring, preserving, handcraft

Services:

  • 20 = Defining objectives and global strategies for a department or company. Shaping company policy (a mutual dependency exists in this case between the activity, professional position, and level of qualification).
  • 21 = Accounting, financial management, human resources
  • 22 = Secretariat and chancellery work, back office
  • 23 = Other business administration tasks
  • 24 = Logistics, staff tasks
  • 25 = Passing expert opinion, advising, selling (consulting, insurance, investment advice, lending), buying and selling (stock exchange, front office), jurisdiction, giving legal advice, certifying
  • 26 = Buying and selling raw materials and capital goods, wholesale
  • 27 = Selling consumer goods and services in retail trade
  • 28 = Performing, planning, and developing basic and applied research

The activity data specified for the employee is based on the feature CHBGD. Feature CHBGD contains multiple digits. The first two digits of the feature refer to the activity.
