13-digit social insurance number in use as of 2008 in the Swiss:
- Old age insurance
- Dependents' insurance
- Disability insurance
- Military compensation fund
Use
The social insurance number replaces the old 11-digit AHV number. Therefore the name New AHV Number is also used.
It does not give any clue to the identity of the related person and has the following structure:
