Documentation
Definition
Enterprise in Terms of the Uniform Wage Notification Procedure (ELM).
Use
A wage notification contains the wage data from a year for persons that belong to the same "enterprise". The "enterprise" is uniquely determined in the notification by entering an enterprise identification according to the Federal Commercial Registry Office (EHRA) or the federal company and enterprise register number.
In the simplest case - if you provide all final recipients simultaneously with the wage data via a distributor and no corrections in the form of replacement notifications are necessary - you can therefore create one wage notification per year and enterprise. If you run payroll for more than one enterprise in terms of ELM in your system, you must create the corresponding number of notifications.
The existing enterprises according to ELM are defined in the system with the corresponding master data in maintenance view 'T5CSL'. You specify which persons belong to an enterprise and must thereby be considered in the appropriate notification for this enterprise by assigning payroll units (maintenance view V_T5C51). Depending on the requirement and Customizing, an enterprise in terms of ELM can be, for example, a company code, a legal person, or a number of certain personnel subareas.
A notification can be sent to one or more institutions, either via a distributor to more than one institution simultaneously, or sent directly to an institution, either via the export/import procedure (EIV) or the process-integrated procedure (PIV). Therefore, it is also permitted for a single enterprise to create more than one wage notification per year.
