Definition
The contribution rule is defined for income areas. This indicator specifies that the employee's total pensionable income is split into subincomes and valuated with the rules for the corresponding income areas. If the field is not selected, the accompanying area is calculated using the employee's income and the rules for this area are applied to the total income.
Example
Pensionable income: 7,800.00DM
Contribution rule: 001: 0 - 5,000.-DM 1.5% contribution
002: 5,001 - 8,000.-DM 2.0% contribution
- Rules 001 and 002 can be used to split the income:
5,000 * 1.5% = DEM75
2,800 * 2.0% = DEM56
--------------------
Total contribution DEM131 - Only rule 002 can be used without a split:
7,800 * 2.0% = DEM156
