Documentation
Definition
Defines the procedure that is to be used to calculate the social insurance adjustment for the employee.
Use
The system uses the calculation procedure for the social insurance adjustment to display whether a social insurance adjustment is performed for the employee. If a social insurance adjustment is made for the employee, there are two different calculation procedures that are applied. The health insurance fund responsible checks the employee#s entitlement to the social insurance adjustment and communicates this and the calculation procedure to be used for the social insurance adjustment to the offices that deduct contribution amounts.
If the employee receives income liable for contributions from different offices, the health insurance fund responsible informs all offices that deduct contribution amounts of the point as of which they are to calculate the contributions and the procedure that they are to use. The office that pays the highest gross amount is to apply calculation procedure 1 and all other offices are to apply calculation procedure 2.
- Calculation Procedure 1
Calculation Procedure 1 is applied when the employee receives only one source of income liable for contributions or, in the context of concurrent employment, receives the highest gross amount.
The social insurance adjustment is calculated by the overcharge amount (difference between the average supplementary contribution and the individual debit limit) being deducted from the employee#s contribution portion. The employee#s reduced contribution portion together with the (unreduced) contribution portion of the office that deducts contribution amounts is paid to the health insurance fund.
- Calculation Procedure 2
Calculation Procedure 2 is applied when the employee receives more than one source of income liable for contributions and does not receive the highest gross amount here.
The social insurance adjustment is calculated by an additional contribution portion of two percent of the employee#s income that is liable for contributions.
The different calculation procedures ensure that the total of the contribution portions of the membership from all income liable for contributions is reduced by the overcharge amount.
