Definition
As of version 4, the contribution record file is created in XML format. At the start of a year, a complete file is created with all the valid data records, including the retroactive accounting period of five years. When there is a change to the dataset, no new complete file is created. Instead, an update file is created containing only the changes compared to the last complete file.
A new complete file replaces the old complete file and all the update files up to this point in time.
A new update file replaces the previous update file.
