Documentation
Definition
The number of times that Online tried to acquire a buffer when none was available. A low positive number in this field might not necessarily indicate a need for tuning. A high value is more indicative of a need for more buffers. If this value exceedes 50 or 60 within a 24 hour period, you should attempt to tune your configuration. This is done by increasing the BUFFERS parameter located in the ONCONFIG* parameter file in the $INFORMIXDIR/etc directory.
