Definition
Key used to access an accounting document.
The document number is unique per Company Code and Fiscal Year. When entering an accounting document, the number can be entered manually or can be assigned by the system within a pre-defined area (Number range).
In each company code, a valid range of document numbers (number range) per document type is defined.
