Definition
Definition:
Optimum business event capacity is the maximum number of
people at one training business event for whom optimum
business event results can be achieved.
Capacity depends on the business event type, among other
factors.
Calculation of the Value:
The optimum capacity can be set directly for the
training business event, its business event type, the room and
the room's resource type (the "room" indicator in infotype
1023). In order to determine the optimum capacity of a
business event in transactions, the individual values for the
optimum capacity in respect of the named object types are
read and a minimum is formed. If no values are found
for the optimum capacity, the optimum busisness event capacity
is set at the value KAP from table T77S0.
If the value determined in this way exceeds the maximum
capacity (see domain OPTKAP) of the training business event,
optimum business event capacity is set at the same value as
maximum business event capacity.
Effects on Booking/Firm booking:
If the number of bookings for an external or planned
(status 2) internal training business event has reached or exceeded
optimum capacity, then only the following are possible:
Essential business event bookings (priority <= MAXMU, where
MAXMU is the maximum priority for an essential business event
booking in table T77S0), or
Bookings on a waiting list (priority >= MINWL, where MINWL
is the minimum priority for a waiting list booking in table
77S0).
If the maximum capacity (see domain MAXKAP) of the training
business event has not been reached, attendees who have already
been booked are not put back ("essential business event booking
without displacement") when new essential business event bookings
(priority <= MAXMU) are made.
If a planned (status 2) internal training business event is firmly
booked (via RHFIXK00), all bookings with priority < MINWL
(ie. all non-waiting list bookings) are taken into account
(only up to maximum capacity, see domain MAXKAP).
If optimum capacity has still not been reached, attendees
from the waiting list (ie. bookings with priority >= MINWL)
also receive a place on the business event until optimum capacity
has been reached.
If the number of bookings for a firmly-booked (status 1)
internal training business event has reached or exceeded its
optimum capacity, only essential business event bookings
can still be made. Waiting list bookings cannot be
made.
See domain MAXKAP.

Use
Definition of optimum capacity for business events:
The optimum capacity of a business event is the maximum number of attendees with which the optimum business event result can be achieved for the individual attendee.
Calculating the value:
Optimum capacity can be set directly for the business event, for the respective business event type, for the respective room, and for the resource type for the room (indicator "room" in infotype 1023).
To specify the optimum capacity of a business event in transactions, the individual values for optimum capacity are read at the specified object types and used to calculate the minimum. If no values are found for optimum capacity this way, optimum business event capacity is set to the value KAP in T77S0.
If the value set this way exceeds the maximum capacity of the business event, optimum business event capacity is set to maximum business event capacity.
Effects when booking/firmly booking:
If the number of bookings on an external or planned (status 2) internal business event has reached or exceeded optimum capacity, the system only allows essential bookings (priority <= MAXMU, where MAXMU is the maximum priority for an essential booking in table T77S0) or bookings on the waiting list (priority >= MINWL, where MINWL is the minimum priority for a waiting-list booking in table T77S0).
If the maximum capacity of the business event is not yet reached, new essential bookings (priority <= MAXMU) do not reset attendees who are already booked ("essential bookings without displacement").
If a planned (status 2) internal business event is firmly booked (using RHFIXK00), all bookings with priority < MINWL (that is, all non-waiting-list bookings) are taken into account (up to maximum capacity). If optimum capacity is still not reached, attendees on the waiting list (that is, bookings with priority >= MINWL) receive places on the business event up to optimum capacity.
If the number of bookings on a fixed (status 1) internal business event has reached or exceeded optimum capacity, only essential bookings (and no waiting-list bookings) are possible.
