Documentation
Definition
This indicator controls the link between documents of the entered document type and the corresponding SAP object.
The following rule applies to the 1:n ratio:
- A document with the entered document type (such as Q01) can be assigned to more than one master record from the relevant database table (for example, material masters MAT01 and MAT02 from table MARA).
- Each master record in the relevant database table can have exactly one document of the selected document type assigned to it.
Examples
Material master MAT01 can be linked to documents of different document types, for example with AAA and BBB.
The link to a document of document type AAA must be unique: the material master can only be linked to o n e document of this document type.
In this case, the indicator is set for the combination of document type and object.
Dependencies
If this indicator is not set, an n:m ratio applies.
You can then:
- assign any number of master records in the relevant database table to a document of this document type
- assign any number of documents to a master record.
