Definition

The ticket purpose is a type of ticket. TSW offers 5 different ticket purposes:

  1. Field ticket: This is the standard TSW ticket that shows the actualized quantity.
  2. Correction ticket: This ticket contains the new quantity that needs to replace the old quantity; see the scenario descriptions for more details.
  3. Final confirmation: This ticket contains the remaining quantity that is delivered; this ticket is the final step to closing the nomination.
  4. Internally-generated for posting: When set, the 'Internally Generated' indicator shows that the ticket was not sent into the system by an IDoc or based on a physical existing document; for example, book transfers.
  5. Reversal Ticket: When you reverse a ticket, you do not change any data. Instead, you are returning the ticket back to the status it had before actualization. Depending on the movement scenario and the previously posted documents, the system performs the following activities during actualization of a reversed ticket:
    • Cancel inventory postings (goods issue, goods receipt, transfer posting)
    • Delete delivery note from the shipment
    • Delete items from the outbound delivery
    • Delete items from the purchase call-off
