Profile identification that contains default values and specifications for the object type indicators (change master record).

Use

The information contained in a profile is standard information that is always needed in a similar constellation when maintaining object type indicators (change master record). The profile helps you when entering data and makes maintaining the indicators easier.

For example, you can use the profil to document the following presettings:

• Choosing the object types that should be processed with reference to the change number (for example, BOM, task list)
• Determining if and how the object management records should be generated.

The object type profile is not relevant to change master records that are created with the Leading change master record function.

By setting the Overriding possible indicator, you can determine that these presettings in the change master record can be overwritten.
