Definition

Indicator controls whether relationships are displayed in the product structure.

Use

When you set this indicator only the object nodes of the initial object (for example, material) are displayed.

  • The relationships to other objects are now longer displayed diorectly on the tree structure. Lines of text that describe the relationship type (such as document) are not available in the structure.
  • You must call a the context menu to see the relationships.
    • In the contest menu you see the additinaol entry relationships.
    • In the function level below all objects are listed that have a relationship path to the initial object.
  • In the screen section Product structure the column relationships appears. The display variant is set up so that the relationship type is in the first list coolumn.

Example

You have set this indicator and display a product structure of a material that has documents and BOMs linked to it.

  • On the Product structure screen only one line is displayed for the single material (initial object).
    Entries for the existing relationships such as documents or BOMs are not yet available at this point.
  • You must first call the context menu for the initial object, for example, material, to see the relationships that exist between objects, such as documents or BOMs.
  • As soon as select the relationship path Documents in the context menu:
    • All documents are listed in the product structure.
    • The object type Document appears in the column relationships
