Entry of a value set of career goals

Use

A value set of career goals can be entered here. Career goals are positions which appear here as especially interesting for a career of the person (possible requests, special interest of the person).
The specification of a career goal or a quantity of career goals causes only those paths which also contain a specified career goal to be taken into account on output of career paths in the career model.
If no entry is made, all possible career paths in the career model are output.

Use

This field may be used interchangeably with the Search string field, to identify the organizational unit that positions should be related with. If you do not know the object ID, use the Search string field.

Procedure

To identify the organizational unit that positions should be related with:

  • type in the object ID of the organizational unit

Supplementary Documentation - OBJEKTID 1001

Use

Use the From and To fields to identify the positions that should be related with the organizational unit specified above, by providing the 8-digit position IDs (object IDs). There are 3 ways to do so.

  • identify a single position in the From field, for example 50000009.
  • identify a range of positions in the From and To fields, for example, 50000020 to 50000055. All positions lying between the two specified positions are related with the organizational unit.
  • identify a list of positions, for example, 50000010 to 50000015, 50000019 to 50000030, and 50000037 to 50000044. To do so, click on the right direction arrow. A window appears that allows you to enter a list.

NOTE: If you do not know the position IDs (object IDs) then you must use the Search string field below, since it allows for lookups.

Procedure

To complete the fields:

  • type in a position ID

Use

The system automatically completes this field, and it may not be edited.

Supplementary Documentation - OBJEKTID 2001

Use

Use this field, together with the Root field, to identify which object should be used as the "root" object. The root object is the object the system uses as a starting point, when it checks the structure, to determine which objects meet the conditions you set. The system checks from the root object, down through the structure.

Use this field to name a specific object as the root object. This field allows you to "look-up" the object you want to use. To do so, you can either:

  • type in as much of the object abbreviation as you remember and press <Enter>. The system produces a list of all objects that match the text. Select an object from the list.
  • type in an asterisk and press <Enter>. The system lists existing objects, of the object type selected in the Root field. Select an object from the list.
  • invoke the matchcode feature by:
    . pressing F4, or
. clicking on the down arrow
(See Windows help for information on matchcodes.)
