Definition

Specifies that the system calculates an average from a number.

Use

The system usually creates average values as a division from an amount and a number and places it in the Rate (RTE) field. If the indicator Hourly average (number average) is set, the system calculates a number average and stores the calculated average value in the Number (NUM) field.

When this indicator is set, when creating frozen averages, the Number field is frozen, not the Rate field.

Dependencies

Example

You can use this indicator, for example, to create an average for an employee of his or her overtime for the last three months. The system calculates this average and places the value calculated in the Number field.
