Definition
Number that defines how sequential numbers are to be generated for a Number of Shipping Units/Serialized Shipping Container Code (NSU/SSCC). It also provides information about which number range is significant for an organizational unit.
Use
When the system creates a handling unit with an internal number assignment, it assigns a number that falls within the corresponding number range as the SSCC.
Procedure
- Determine which internal number range is provided for the object (that is assigned to this organizational unit) by choosing maintain number range objects and then choosing 'Number ranges'.
- Pick a number range and note its number
- Enter the number of the number range you have chosen.
