Definition
The issue number is a sequence number assigned to issues of an edition in a year.
You can assign a 'second number' to double issues in this field. Double issues are not numbered automatically: this must be done manually.
Example
The July and August issues of a monthly magazine are produced in a double issue. This issue is represented as 'Copy 7/8'. This would be entered as follows in the number fields:
- 'Issue number': 7
- 'Issue number affix': 8
