Documentation
Definition
Number of personnel numbers for multiple payroll (four characters).
Supplementary Documentation - NPRMJ 0001
Use
The number of personnel numbers for multiple payroll specifies how many reference personnel numbers are processed by one job. If the number of selected reference personnel numbers cannot be divided up evenly among the number of jobs, the remaining reference personnel numbers are assigned to the job last created.
Procedure
Unfortunately we are unable to recommend a suitable number here as this is mainly dependent on the system configuration.
Example
The number entered is 100.
Description
The payroll program variant being run determines which and how many personnel numbers are selected by the database. Let us assume that 1057 personnel numbers are selected, and that 187 of these are reference personnel numbers.
The system creates a packet with 100 and a packet with 87 reference personnel numbers.
In this example, then, two jobs have been started for reference personnel numbers.
Dependencies
Specifying the amount of personnel numbers or number of jobs for multiple payroll has nothing to do with 'normal' payroll as such. As a rule, payroll numbers are usually selected by the database in a payroll run. Some of these numbers are then processed in the multiple payroll run (existence of infotype 'Reference Personnel Numbers'), and the remainder in 'normal' payroll run. The number of personnel numbers per job and/or the number of jobs can be determined separately for both these sets of personnel numbers.
Entries can only be made in this field if the option "Using multiple payroll?" is marked Yes during payroll program selection.
If this is so, you may then specify either the number of personnel numbers per job in multiple payroll, or the number of jobs to be created for multiple payroll. You can specify the number of personnel numbers or the number of jobs for "regular" runs as well as for multiple payroll runs. In a payroll run, all applicable personnel numbers are selected from the database and divided into the corresponding background jobs.
