Documentation

Definition

Number of jobs (four characters).

Supplementary Documentation - NOJOB 0001

Use

The "Number of jobs" field specifies how many background jobs are created. If the number of selected personnel numbers cannot be divided up exactly among the number of jobs, the job last created is assigned fewer personnel numbers.

Procedure

We are unfortunately unable to recommend a suitable number here as this is mainly dependent on the system configuration.

Examples

The number entered is 3.

You use the payroll program variant to determine which and how many personnel numbers are selected by the database. Let us assume that the number of personnel numbers selected is 1057.

The program determines the size of the job.

This example creates three jobs. The first and second each process 353 personnel numbers, the third processes 351.

Dependencies

You may specify either the number of personnel numbers per job, or the number of jobs to be created. You cannot specify both at the same time.
